Supervision and Volunteer Information
👀 Supervision & Volunteer Responsibilities
At MFSC, our programs rely on the support and involvement of our amazing parent community. Your participation helps ensure our sessions run smoothly and keeps costs accessible for all families.
🧊 Supervision Duties
Each skating day, one parent will be scheduled to act as the on-ice session supervisor and music player.
Supervisor responsibilities include:
-
Remaining in the players' box for the duration of the session
-
Assisting any skaters in need (e.g. helping tie skates, offering support)
-
Distributing handouts or items to skaters as needed
-
Once Carnival practice begins, the supervisor may also be asked to play music from the penalty box using the iPad (which will be brought to the ice by the coach)
🔔 Important:
We kindly ask all other parents to remain outside the players’ boxes once your child is on the ice. This helps reduce distractions and encourages skaters to stay with their groups—ensuring they get the most out of their time on the ice.
Please stay in the building during your child’s session.
The heaters will be on, and there is a warm, comfortable viewing area upstairs for you to enjoy.
