Get ready for a day of fun, excitement, and celebration on the ice! Our Skating on the Edge Gala is a one-day event where our Pre-CanSkate and CanSkate skaters come together to showcase the skills they've been working hard to develop all season.
🎉 What is the Gala?
The Skating on the Edge Gala is designed to give young skaters a chance to shine in a fun and supportive environment. Rooted in Skate Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development Model, the event focuses on recognizing and encouraging progress at the Learn to Skate stage.
This is not a competition. Instead, it's about building confidence, having fun, and celebrating every skater’s individual achievements.

Skaters are not ranked—the focus is on skill development and having a blast on the ice!

Every skater receives a medal and prize, and gets their moment to stand proudly on the podium.

Award ceremonies take place hourly in the upstairs lobby—come cheer everyone on!

We highly encourage you to register your child—it’s a fantastic experience they won’t want to miss!
🙋♀️ Volunteers Needed
The Gala is one of our club’s biggest fundraisers and takes a team of dedicated volunteers to run smoothly.
🧤 Whether or not your child is participating, you may be required to help with a shift.
We’ll be holding a planning meeting at the arena—everyone is welcome!
